The Heart Of Ancient Egypt
Did you know that without the Great Nile there might have not of been such a thing as Egypt? The Nile provided water for drinking and watering crops. Every year the Nile flooded and left a strip of rich dark soil. The farmers grew their crops in these fertile strips. The ancient Egyptians called their land Kemet which means black land.
Transportation
The ancient egypt transportation is a lot different from ours. Instead of roads they use the Nile as a way to get around. In the water they used boats made out of shallow hulls to limit the chances of getting hung up in shallow parts of the Nile. The Nile was very important for transportation as the Egyptians used it for trade.
